Two people have been injured after their wing-in-ground effect vessel plunged into waters north of Perth yesterday.
The male pilot and female passenger crashed shortly before 12.30pm, near Edwards Island Nature Reserve in Lancelin, about 127km from Perth.
The pair suffered minor injuries and were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
Emergency services were on scene for much of the afternoon following the crash.
Police said the two people were brought to shore on a jet ski.
A wing-in-ground effect vessel is a type of aircraft that uses a cushion of air pressure generated between the craft and the surface of the water to fly slightly above the water over certain distances.
