Police arrest 'mannequin' after Warsaw shop burglary

Police in Poland have arrested a man after he pretended to be a mannequin in a store window in a bid to steal jewellery.
Photos showed the 22-year-old standing still and holding a bag in a window of the store in the capital city Warsaw, reports the BBC.
He has been accused of searching the store for items to steal after closing time before targeting a jewellery stand.

The man also allegedly stole items from a second mall.
He has been charged with burglary and theft and faces up to 10 years in prison.
Police said that he stood still until "he felt it was safe", then walked through the store after closing time before taking jewellery.
Staff and shoppers were said to be none the wiser that the man was posing as a mannequin, completely motionless, police said.
He was eventually spotted by security staff.
The man is accused of two other incidents.

In the first, police say he dined late at a restaurant and waited until closing time.
He then allegedly entered a clothing store and swapped his clothes for new ones, before returning to the restaurant for another meal.
CCTV images showed him clambering under the clothing store's partially open shutter doors.
