Man allegedly rams police car during arrest for alleged sexual touching

A man has been charged for allegedly ramming a police car while trying to avoid arrest over sexual touching charges.
The 31-year-old from Lake Macquarie allegedly touched a 23-year-old woman in Redhead on Thursday.
Police located the man on Flowers Drive in Catherine Hill Drive at 3.40pm on Friday, before he allegedly rammed a police car and attempted to carjack a separate vehicle.
A female officer was injured in the incident, and the police car was significantly damaged.
The man was eventually arrested after allegedly resisting and was charged with multiple offences at Belmont police station.
He was charged with two counts of sexually touching another person without consent, common assault, predatory driving, using an offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention and assault with intent to take a motor vehicle.
