Police have found a crocodile at the home of a man charged in the Northern Territory with aggravated assault.
Police said two men allegedly assaulted three people sleeping in a shelter in Katherine on October 10 last year.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in Acacia on Tuesday and police searched his home in Girraween.
"A number of illegal items were seized including an unsecured firearm, sword fish rostrum and a live crocodile," police said.
The man has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, possess/use firearm unlicensed, possess/use firearm without permit and ail to meet storage requirements.
He was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on June 13.
