Gamers are being encouraged to jump online and broadcast themselves playing games to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
The Mother's Day Classic is just one of many events supported by the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), now gamers are being encouraged to jump on board and say "Game On Breast Cancer".
Running and walking may not be for everyone, so if gaming is more of your thing NBCF has you covered by establishing Game Day.
During Sunday's Oz Comic-Con event, a panel organised by the National Breast Cancer Foundation saw two female gamers promote the upcoming charity event.
The event encourages gamers of all ages and skill levels to come together to raise much needed funds for breast cancer research.
Many gamers have already committed to promoting the cause through an all-day broadcast on streaming platform Twitch.
Game Day spokesperson Liam Calder says if you're keen to get involved, you don't have to stick to your your typical video games.
"Play a table top game, or even jump into Wordle and try to beat your score." he said on today's Oz Comic-Con panel.
Gamer Ellie, who goes by the online alias Twerkinqueen, has signed up for Game Day. She says she'll be streaming Fortnite on Twitch come May 7.
"I haven't ventured into streaming much before, but that's what I'm most excited for.
"I'm going to do a stream every week in the lead up to the day, I need a bit of a warmup!" she said.
Streamers can also earn rewards by raising money, by hitting fund raising milestones.
