Each week property data firm CoreLogic releases the results of the weekend's property auctions - where sellers stake their claim in the nation's enduringly red-hot market.

For every state and territory, here are the top sales according to publicly accessible data.

This five-bedder at Roseville was the highest-selling property in NSW over the weekend, and indeed the country.

Sitting on 1300 square metres, this elegant family home fetched a chart-topping $6.8 million.

Queensland

If you fancy warmer weather, this opulent six-bedder at Clear Island Waters in Queensland was the state's biggest seller, fetching $5 million.

Boasting a home cinema among other features, the property also has 40 metres of waterfront space.

Northern Territory

Northern Territory

Buyers with budgets under seven figures will be relieved to find it's possible to snag a price of paradise within reason.

This four-bedroom oasis at Humpty Doo was the NT's top sale over the weekend, selling for $900,000.

Australian Capital Territory

Australian Capital Territory

This seven-bedroom home in O'Malley sold for $2.65 million, making it the top sale in the ACT.

It also boasts an impressive eight bathrooms and six car spaces.

South Australia

South Australia

South Australia's biggest seller of the weekend was this four-bedroom home at Toorak Gardens, which sold for $2 million.

Sitting on a corner block, all upstairs bedrooms have balconies which boast full views of the Adelaide Hills.

Tasmania

Just a stone's throw away from the ocean, this property on Shorehaven Drive at Turners Beach was the highest-selling property in Tasmania, going for $1.2 million.

It features four bedrooms, two bathrooms and an extra-wide three-car garage.

Victoria

Victoria

Described as an "architectural masterpiece", this four-bedroom home at Balwyn was the top earner in Victoria over the weekend, taking home $4.85 million.

Built by architect Kevin Knight for himself, the home features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a two-car garage.

Western Australia

Western Australia

The highest-selling property in Western Australia over the weekend was this ultra-spacious home on Haining Avenue in the blue-ship suburb of Cottesloe.

Featuring six bedrooms, two bathrooms and two car spaces, it sold for $3.8 million.
