The 32-year-old Keilor Downs man was arrested at Darwin Airport on Friday as he tried to board the international flight and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of cocaine.
He has since faced a Darwin court and has been extradited to Melbourne to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
The charge comes after he was arrested in Port Melbourne on February 16 following police finding about 2.5kg of cocaine, ammunition, and equipment used in drug making at a business in Brooklyn, in Melbourne's west.
Police then also searched properties in Malvern East, Hillside, Port Melbourne, Keilor Downs and Yarraville and seized a 2022 Porsche Cayenne, a 2022 Ford Ranger and cash as proceeds of crime.
A 33-year-old from Malvern East was also charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of cocaine.
He will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court in December.
