The Perth president of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle club has died in police custody hours after being arrested.
Jamie Ginn, 50, died at the Perth Watchhouse last night after allegedly suffering a medical episode.
Ginn was taken into custody at 1pm yesterday before he was charged with several drug and firearm offences, police have said.
He was then observed to be suffering a medical episode, suspected to be a seizure, inside his cell about 7pm.
Ginn was given immediate medical assistance until paramedics arrived, but he could not be revived, police have said.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and as per standard protocol officers from the major crime division will prepare a report for the coroner," police said in a statement.

WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch told media today that a post-mortem would determine Ginn's cause of death.
"I've seen the video, I've watched the CCTV... based on what I've seen, and the early indication, it's highly likely to be a medical episode only... I don't think there's any real blame to be put on anyone," Blanch said.
"While we know he was a member of an outlaw motorcycle group, I still think it's very important that we are sensitive to what's occurred because he does have family and friends and they are grieving.
"It's a loss of life in a police facility and I think it's important we respect their grief during this process."
It's understood Ginn was recently appointed as president of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle club in Perth.
