Writers for Hollywoodand major TV studios across the US have been on strike since May 2023, and as of Friday morning, they have been joined by the industry's biggest stars.
It's a massive labour stoppage over pay for writers and actors, the likes of which have not been seen since 1960 when the Writers Guild and Screen Actor's Guild.
The latest strike will shut down productions across the entertainment industry after talks for a new contract with studios and streaming services broke down.
With huge sections of America's creative talent locked in negotiation with studios, hundreds of the most anticipated film and TV projects will be on ice until the strike is resolved.
Here's what could be delayed or cancelled by the Writers and Actor's Strike in 2023.
What movies are impacted by the strike?
Many major films in the Hollywood pipeline will be disrupted due to the strikes.
Now that the Screen Actors Guild has joined the strike, almost all Hollywood productions will be delayed until the strike is resolved.
Spider-Man: No Way Home sequel - the strike delayed all production on the untitled franchise follow-up starring heart-throbs Tom Holland and Zendaya
Blade - a reboot of the '90s superhero movie starring Wesley Snipes has been delayed. Several other superhero movies have been affected with Marvel's Thunderbolts and Sony's El Muerto both shelved.

Rings of Power Season 2 (Amazon)
House of the Dragon Season 2 (HBO)
Reality TV shows that do not rely on a narrative structure will continue unaffected.
Televised sports, which likewise do not rely on writers, will be unaffected.
Hollywood actors are going on strike over pay conditions and contract negotiations with the Studios and streaming services.
After talks broke down, the Actors union will walk away, delaying the majority of hollywood productions .
The walkout affects only the union's 65,000 actors from television and film productions, who voted overwhelmingly to authorize their leaders to call a strike before talks began on June 7.
Broadway actors said in a statement that they stand "in solidarity" with SAG-AFTRA workers.
Why are writers striking in 2023?
The Writers Guild of America is the union body representing writers across Hollywood and Major television networks.
The strikes and picket lines outside Hollywood studios have formed after negotiations over writer's pay have ground to a halt.
Writers are claiming that streamingplatforms and major studios are underpaying the writers despite streaming revenue soaring since the pandemic.
"Writers are facing the most comprehensive assault on compensation and working conditions that they have seen in a generation," the Writers Guild stated on its website.
"The studios have taken advantage of the transition to streaming to underpay entertainment industry workers, including writers in every area of work."
When will the strike end?
The previous writers' strike, in 2007-2008, lasted for 100 days, and the longest strike on record, in 1988, lasted for 153.
Some industry figures believe the strike, already past the 70-day mark, could last at least three months.
The strike will continue until one side relents and a compromise is reached.
The actors could join the already striking Writers Guild of America and grind the already slowed production process to a halt if no agreement is reached with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
The sides agreed to an extension before the original contract expiration date on June 30, resetting it to Wednesday at 11.59pm.
Issues on the table in negotiations include the unregulated use of artificial intelligence and the effects on residual pay brought on by the streaming ecosystem that has emerged in recent years.
