Sports Presenter

A sport fanatic, Clint Stanaway is fortunate to have attended some of the world's biggest and most memorable events.

Born and bred in Melbourne, Clint started at GTV9 as a teenager - and it was his experience in the News Library while completing a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University that inspired him to pursue a career in journalism.

He commenced his television career in 2002 at WIN Television in Bendigo before returning to Nine News as a Reporter in 2005. In that time, he covered many significant stories including the tragic Mildura hit-run where six young lives were lost, the dramatic rescue of the trapped Beaconsfield miners, and in 2006 he joined the Nine Network's Commonwealth Games reporting team.

Clint moved to London in 2007, taking up a position with British Sky Broadcasting, while also working for Nine as a European Correspondent.

The highlight of his overseas stint was Australia's Ashes campaign in 2009. He also covered Wimbledon, the French Tennis Open and British Open Golf while his travels also took him to Mexico, where he reported on the country's deadly Swine Flu crisis.

In 2011, Clint took on the role of Weekend Sports Presenter and now sits alongside Alicia Loxley and Justine Conway on Nine News every Saturday and Sunday evening.

Clint was given the opportunity to travel to India and Sri Lanka in 2011 for the ICC Cricket World Cup, and in 2012 joined Nine's Olympic reporting team at the London Games.

In 2014, Clint lived a career dream, reporting from Brazil at the FIFA World Cup and then the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

He's recently increased his profile with the network, reading the sports bulletin on Nine's nationally broadcast Today Show.

Clint is a regular host on Wide World of Sports, having presented the networks LIVE coverage of the International Champions Cup soccer in both 2015 and 2016, Socceroos World Cup qualifiers and more recently, Suncorp Super Netball and Nine's Summer of Tennis.

A decade ago, Clint helped form Mands’ Mob, a family charity aimed at raising money and awareness for Ovarian Cancer, after a close family friend was diagnosed with the insidious disease. He’s since been appointed a national ambassador for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, raising more than $250,000 through the annual Silver Lining Ride.

He's also an ambassador for My Room - a volunteer led organisation dedicated to raising funds to achieve a 100 per cent cure rate for childhood cancers.

Clint Stanaway is a supporter of the Melbourne Football Club and A-League club Melbourne City.
