A man has been charged with murder after he was extradited from Canberra to New South Wales for allegedly stabbing a man to death in Sydney's west last week.
Prince Fanhbulleh, 24, was arrested by ACT Police after crashing his car on Gungahlin Drive in Bruce about 2.20am on Monday, leading officers to discover a warrant was out for his arrest in NSW over last week's fatal stabbing in St Clair.
ACT Police allege the car's number plates were "fake and made of polystyrene foam material".
NSW Police were granted an extradition notice for Fanhbulleh in ACT Magistrates Court today.
"The man was taken to Queanbeyan Police Station in the company of NSW detectives where he was charged with murder," NSW police said in a statement.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Queanbeyan Local Court tomorrow.
It's alleged Fanhbulleh stabbed Youhanna Angok to death in St Clair on June 9 at 4.30pm.
Youhanna Angok died after emergency services were unable to save him.
