A man has presented to hospital with a gunshot wound after an alleged drive-by shooting in Melbourne's south-west.
Police have been told the 50-year-old man was allegedly shot outside his property on Fourth Avenue in Altona North around 7.30pm.
He self-presented at hospital later that evening with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe a burnt-out Mitsubishi Pajero found on Gill Street in Reservoir about 8.20pm last night is likely linked to the shooting.
Police have set up a crime scene on Blackshaws Road in Altona North
