Man charged after allegedly stealing, crashing police van in Brisbane's north

A man has been charged after he allegedly stole and crashed a police van in Brisbane's north.
Police were called to Boundary Road in Narangba in Moreton Bay at about 3.20am yesterday after reports of a man wielding a knife.
When they arrived, the man allegedly overpowered police officers, stole their van and drove away.

The man allegedly drove the van for several kilometres before crashing it on Anzac Avenue at Mango Hill.
He allegedly then got out of the van and ran towards a nearby McDonald's before he was arrested.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries
No officers or members of the public were injured in the incident.
A 37-year-old Moreton Bay man has now been charged with multiple offences including damaging police property and unlawful use of a vehicle.
He was denied bail and is expected to appear before court today.
